Summer School 2023

What participants said

‘I am coming to the end of my third year as a PhD student, and this is the best learning event of any kind I have been involved in, bar none.’

‘I got to know about history projects I couldn't have imagined myself and learn from the scholars developing them. Furthermore, I got valuable feedback on my own essay, particularly in the form of suggestions of theory. Finally, we had a couple of very good roundtable conversations on all things global history, incl. benefits and problematic sides.’

‘I really enjoyed seeing the connections between my own work and others'.’

‘Great space to develop our PhD and receive comments, the seminars were organised with many breaks to focus on every presentation, and the environment was great, with the quiet open air landscape to relax and the lighty and wide rooms to carry our expositions.’

‘Great summer school, would come back again if I could!’
